One Health Ecohealth 2016

Dr. Margot Parkes recently attended the One Health Ecohealth 2016 conference in Melbourne, Australia from Dec 3-7, 2016. Under Western Skies 2016

Several members of EKTARG were involved in a panel presentation at Under Western Skies, hosted at Mount Royal University in Calgary, AB. Chris Buse presented on ecohealth’s contribution to the cumulative impacts assessment process. Maya Gislason and Shayna Dolan shared their experience of designing and facilitating ecohealth workshops for public health practitioners. The conference program can be viewed here.

The EcoHealth Gallery of Actions on Climate Change

The EcoHealth Gallery of Actions on Climate Change is now open for viewing on EcoHealth-Live!

Endorsed in August of 2014 by the International Association for Ecology & Health, The Ecohealth 2014 Conference Statement was a call to the ecohealth community to take practical, hopeful action on climate change. One of the pathways for action included in the Statement is the Gallery of Actions on Climate Change. You can enter and view the gallery by clicking here.

CIRC Launch- October 2-3, 2015

The Cumulative Impacts Research Consortium (CIRC) is pleased to invite you to its upcoming launch event being held on October 2-3, 2015 at the UNBC Campus in Prince George, BC.  This event will introduce CIRC’s vision, academic leads, and advisory committee; share and discuss examples of research and practice on cumulative impacts across northern BC; and provide opportunities for participants to share their concerns and help shape CIRC’s future research and public engagement activities.
You can RSVP to either the Friday evening launch (6:15-9:00PM), the Saturday workshop (8:00AM-4:00PM) or both day’s activities by emailing circ@unbc.ca.
